First Class of Business Empowerment Graduates
On September 23rd, Debi Lamb-Burrows, head storyteller of Penguin Suits, Inc., graduated from the Business Empowerment program.
The Business Empowerment program is devoted to helping small, minority and women-owned businesses in San Antonio get access to the support they need from a knowledgeable team. The program is divided into two phases. Phase I is the Small Business Education Boot Camp. Phase II consists of two programs – the Mentor Protégé Program and the Bonding Assistance Program. These programs bring together the best of business development organizations, professionals and business community members to help small businesses build capacity and make a big impact on south Texas.
The phase that Debi participated in was the Mentor Protégé Program. Debi is seen here with her mentor Emily Gary from Proof Advertising, LLC.
In addition to participating in the program, Debi also teaches the Marketing Speech class and the 30 Second Elevator Speech class. She has taught these classes since 2012 and will continue to do so.
