Our History
At Penguin Suits, Inc., we take a novel approach to projects, literally viewing them as stories to be told. Stories are a time-honored way to share information and, let's be honest, who doesn't love to be drawn into a good story? Some projects are singular, standing alone like a short story; others are like an epic saga, involved and evolving over time. Regardless of the scope, they use the essence of a story to convey each message.
Penguin Suits is the brain child of Debi Lamb-Burrows. The company has grown with her, burgeoning into the complex and diverse business of today, but we remain grounded in the founding principles of creating and promoting beautiful and true brand messages benefiting clients' businesses. The original Penguin Suits namesake, a hand-painted penguin onesie, still hangs in the main lobby of the office in Boerne, Texas, reminding everyone of the company's humble and unique origins.
Penguin Suits is essentially a marketing company working hand in hand with a variety of clients. However, our unique outlook allows us to offer diverse clients an extensive and continually expanding variety of services. We transcend the perceived lines between individual and corporate clients in ways traditional marketing companies cannot hope to achieve.
The Penguin Suits storytelling approach was put into action to create a blitz campaign to replace a stolen French horn for a local college student who'd been accepted to join a prestigious summer program. Although the time line was incredibly short, by seeing this project as the evolving story it was, we crafted a compelling and successful campaign that combined social networking, print media, direct mail, radio and TV to draw people into the story. The response was overwhelming, positive and successful. This campaign also illustrates the versatility of Penguin Suits; marketing isn't just for businesses anymore.
Our insatiable enthusiasm has helped Penguin Suits and our clients grow. Like Debi says, we look at things from a slightly skewed perspective to figure out how available tools can be used unexpectedly. That's when creativity flourishes and obstacles become just another hurdle you can't wait to jump. At Penguin Suits, we embrace the unexpected and this outlook positions us to rise to any challenge.
