B2B - Social Marketing Strategy- PART 1
Business to Business (B2B) social media marketing is exploding in popularity and is showing no chance of slowing.
The use of social media from 2014 to 2015 increased by 45%. Sixty-one percent of all businesses in the US now have some type of social media marketing campaign. Social media is an essential platform for initiating relationships with new business accounts and retaining current ones. So which platforms rank highest for B2B connections? LinkedIn is number 1 with over 90% of professionals sharing here; not far behind is Twitter, at 85%.
What makes social media an effective component of B2B marketing is the fact that the Businesses in B2B are run by people. People are the users of all platforms of social media, so making connections with people on social media means you are connecting with companies as well.
With that in mind, all social platforms like Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube, and Instagram are thriving options. Selecting the right platform for your campaign is a matter of the demographics of your target audience, because there are aspects of each that appeal to different audiences.
For B2B, just being present on social media isn't enough. Building it doesn't mean they'll come - it requires attention and participation to engage your audience. As you increase your engagement, your increased impressions on social media can establish your brand's voice, raise awareness and establish your brand as the expert. To do this effectively and consistently you must have a strategic content plan to engage your audience.
In the following posts, we'll look at different components of B2B social media.
I hope these marketing tips make your campaigns more effective.
